Shadowspawn desata su furia en “Cadaver Dogs”: Una crítica feroz a la decadencia humana – Atanathos

La agrupación danesa Shadowspawn, originaria de Copenhague y con más de una década de trayectoria, se prepara para el lanzamiento de su cuarto álbum de larga duración titulado «Cadaver Dogs». Desde su formación en 2013, la banda ha consolidado su estatus como una de las fuerzas más potentes de la escena metálica nórdica, gracias a una discografía impecable que incluye trabajos como «The Biology of Disbelief» (2021) y «Blasphemica» (2023).

«Cadaver Dogs» se presenta como un álbum histórico para Shadowspawn, expandiendo sus horizontes musicales sin perder la esencia que los caracteriza: una mezcla intransigente de groove, black y death metal de la vieja escuela. Este nuevo trabajo equilibra con maestría la brutalidad técnica con una intensidad aplastante.

Bue Jensen, vocalista de la formación, reflexiona sobre el concepto lírico del disco:

«Estamos ante un disco verdaderamente letal y meticulosamente elaborado. Hemos creado una narrativa sobre el mundo demente que nos rodea, donde dictadores hambrientos de poder y la religión imponen una agenda basada en el miedo, el asesinato y la opresión. En otras palabras: carroñeros humanos que explotan todo lo que pueden».

Para asegurar un acabado de primer nivel, Shadowspawn ha cuidado cada detalle técnico y visual:

• Grabación: Realizada en los estudios Corpsekennel Spawncamp.

• Mezcla y Masterización: A cargo de Kelvin Dam.

• Arte Visual: La portada es obra del artista sueco Henry Pyykkö, con diseño de maquetación de Jess Larsen.

El álbum será lanzado oficialmente mañana, 20 de febrero de 2026, en formato CD y digital a través del sello polaco Via Nocturna.

Para celebrar este lanzamiento, Shadowspawn se embarcará en una gira por toda Dinamarca durante el mes de abril. No estarán solos, ya que compartirán escenario con dos potencias del género:

• Defacing God: Symphonic black/gothic metal.

• Maceration: Leyendas del death metal.

Como antesala al lanzamiento, la banda ya ha publicado el videoclip de su segundo sencillo y tema homónimo, «Cadaver Dogs», el cual ya se puede disfrutar en sus canales oficiales.

The Danish outfit Shadowspawn, hailing from Copenhagen and boasting a career spanning over a decade, is preparing for the release of their fourth full-length album titled «Cadaver Dogs». Since their formation in 2013, the band has solidified its status as one of the most potent forces in the Nordic metal scene, thanks to an impeccable discography that includes works such as «The Biology of Disbelief» (2021) and «Blasphemica»(2023).

«Cadaver Dogs» is presented as a landmark album for Shadowspawn, expanding their musical horizons without losing their signature essence: an uncompromising blend of groove, black, and old-school death metal. This new work masterfully balances technical brutality with crushing intensity.

Bue Jensen, the group’s vocalist, reflects on the album’s lyrical concept:

«This is a truly lethal and meticulously crafted record. We have created a narrative about the insane world surrounding us, where power-hungry dictators and religion impose an agenda based on fear, murder, and oppression. In other words: human scavengers exploiting everything they can.»

To ensure a top-tier finish, Shadowspawn has overseen every technical and visual detail:

• Recording: Handled at Corpsekennel Spawncamp studios.

• Mixing and Mastering: Conducted by Kelvin Dam.

• Visual Art: The cover art is the work of Swedish artist Henry Pyykkö, with layout design by Jess Larsen.

The album will be officially released tomorrow, February 20, 2026, in CD and digital formats via the Polish label Via Nocturna.

To celebrate this release, Shadowspawn will embark on a tour across Denmark throughout the month of April. They won’t be alone, as they will share the stage with two powerhouses of the genre:

• Defacing God: Symphonic black/gothic metal.

• Maceration: Death metal legends.

As a preview to the launch, the band has already released the music video for their second single and title track, «Cadaver Dogs,» which is now available on their official channels.
